Country Cascades Waterpark Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Country cascades again, didn’t disappoint. Always an enjoyable stay. Clean, nice staff, and tons of things for the kids to do.!"

"The bathroom had black and green mold on the ceiling. The shower drain was clogged with 14 inches of slimy hair that I pulled out, just so I could shower and not have my feet and ankles in standing water. The pool area look dirty, as well as the hallway leading down to the pool. I get there are renovations in progress. But installing strip lights in the hallways should not be the priority at this time. Health dept needs to visit. Mattress all have dips where they have been over used. Thankfully we didn’t find any bugs. We showed the clerk the pics and video at the front desk upon checking out. She acted somewhat concerned, but I feel it was just for my benefit."

"On checking in the room was very tired and dated. The balcony was unusable with no furniture and very small. Our room allocated was opposite the noisy lift. Even though we were staying at the hotel there is an unexpected $18 per day parking charge. It was the worst DoubleTree hotel I've ever seen. That bad we didn't stay and immediately checked out (never done this before). Interestingly the staff didn't seemed surprised we were not staying. Rubbish"

"My stay at The Read House was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel beautifully blends historic charm with modern comfort, and the staff made every part of the experience welcoming and enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, the public spaces were stunning, and the location made it easy to explore downtown Chattanooga. One of the highlights was taking the haunted room tour. Even if you’re not a believer in ghost stories, the history behind the hotel is fascinating and adds a unique dimension to the experience. It was both entertaining and memorable. I highly recommend The Read House to anyone visiting Chattanooga. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, great hospitality, or a little mystery, this hotel delivers a truly special stay."

"Our room was terrible dated, it smelled, there were stains in the bathtub, terrible sink faucet, there was water damage in the hallway, electrical chords draped across the floor, and fans running. The parking valet was rude, spun out in the car in front of us, and squealed tires throughout the garage. When checking in at 10:30, we told the clerk we were hungry and he said the restaurant was open until 11pm, so we went straight there. The host that greeted us at 10:45 said the kitchen was closed - when we shared what the desk clerk said, she rolled her eyes and seated us. It was a terrible experience at an exorbitant price point."
