"Stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke on Trent and couldn’t fault it. Check-in was spot on—friendly, genuine, and brilliant with our kids (colouring pack + cookies went down a treat). Room was spacious with sofa beds already set up, which made life easy straight away. Breakfast was excellent—loads of choice and constantly topped up. Just book ahead as it gets busy. Great for families. Would definitely stay again."

"Parking was not clear – it was hidden through some black gates between shops, and we had to call the owner to even find out where it was. The property is advertised as “apartments,” but our room was just a bedroom, with the bathroom and kitchen being shared. The place felt unsafe and unhygienic – the cooker alone (see photos) was a good example of the poor condition. We rang the owner, but he didn’t want to know. Hotels.com contacted him on our behalf and he said he would come and “fix it,” but...

"We stayed in a double room for the purposes of visiting Alton Towers. The location was perfect being about 40 minutes away. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with a private shower and toilet. No tv but this was fine. Downstairs had a communal kitchen and seated area which was clean. I only used facilities to make a cup of tea. Joseph (manager) was welcoming, friendly and was always nearby to answer any questions. £20 refundable deposit was required for the room key. "So i suppose the price for a night isnt bad, but when youre expecting a whole apartment aslisted and there are others there, its not so great. Stood outside door for 20mins. Not easy to get key via access code( no email before) 2 towels for 3 people, 1 was damp, 1 had a brown 'stain' on it. Bedding old and worn. Headboards dubiously stained!!!!"

"Property was clean. Not as stated entire property. Shared facilities. Bathroom via the kitchen on ground floor had child. Did not feel we could relax here as thought we had entire apartment. Outside next to little shop. Traffic island outside meant couldnt park outside and single line. Area around property made us feel unsafe- wasnt the best."

"Unable to get in touch with the host. Was refused a refund after I went to the property and it was unclean and random person sleeping in the shared areas. Bedroom lock barely attached to the door and furniture in poor state of repair I didn't sleep at the property as I felt unsafe and no refund issued. Does not look like the listing pictures. "
