An amazing and comfortable stay in a beautiful location. Thank you so much to our host who went above and beyond to provide our family with everything we needed and more, including lifts to and from the station, fresh fruit & bread for breakfast, helped us with our laundry and more. We will cherish our memories staying in your lovely traditional home in Nikko. Thank you!

Really nice stay! Room was spacious and really nice for the price. Open spaced with a big bed and a nice view of the outside and mountains, but private enough behind some trees. Not too far from Nikko centre, easy to walk down the hill and enjoy. Staff were really nice and accommodating to me and my partner. They recommended some nice places to eat. Gurumans Wagyu restaurant about 10 minutes away from the hotel is a must.

The hotel looks like it has recently been renovated. Everything was lovely and clean. The room was fantastically comfortable, we even had a sofa to sit and watch the view over the lake which was lovely. Good amenities in the room with hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge for putting our cold drinks in.
Due to personal reasons we didn't partake of the outside onsen that is on site. I did check and they were fine with tattooed tourists using the onsen.

Wonderful hotel, staff and location. We felt so welcome and cared for, everyone was so friendly! The location was perfect, all of the highlights were within walking distance. We didn't have a car and it was never an issue. The food was exquisite, and the onsen next to the river was amazing. Highly recommend!

We stayed in a Japanese style room, which was beautiful, and unusually spacious compared to other hotel rooms in Japan. The buffet style evening meal and breakfast were both delicious, with a huge range of Japanese and international dishes to choose from. Staff were fluent in English and very welcoming and helpful. The hotel has it's own onsen, which was a lovely experience. A highlight of our holiday.

I only stayed at this hotel for one night but was very impressed. Only a short walk from the train station.
Room was a good size. Didn't get to have breakfast due to an early train the next morning.
Walking through the station car park there are a few gyoza restaurants, I had dinner in one and it was surprisingly good.
I'm unlikely yo stay in Utsunomiya again but would recommend this hotel and will certainly look at Daiwa Roynet hotels in future.
