"Excellent food, convenient location, and attentive staff; we thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at this century-old inn! We chose Joshuya for an authentic ryokan experience. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us. "

"DISGUSTING. The stench of mold and damp permeated every space and every floor. The elevator smell was the worst. Stains everywhere including the ceiling. This place hasn’t been maintained in probably 40 years. The whole area is falling apart and most buildings are abandoned. We couldn’t get out of here fast enough. I will be making a proper complaint with photos."
