"The hotel roomed seemed spacious and clean. The shower ran out of hot water first thing in the morning. I had to take a cold shower at 7 in the morning because the warm water just went away and I had the handle turned all the way to hot. Not a great experience. And my husband was charged $10 for a small bowl of cereal and a coffee which is steep. "

"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy...

"Very handy place to stop journey travelling south. Clean and friendly staff. Paid a little extra for room with a lovely view and even a little balcony overlooking the lake. Very quiet at night for a service station. Rooms a bit dated but comfortable bed and a full sized bath. Very good value and would stay again."
