"We stayed in a relatively small room that was comfortable and warm."

"I was pleasantly surprised with it being a Britannia Hotel. Beds aren’t comfortable though, not one bit, only thing I could criticise"

"We stayed in Room 18, it’s not the biggest and only has a small window looking onto a fire escape. It was clean and the bed comfy, but I prefer a bigger room."

"Had an excellent stay, very welcoming and accomodating, great owners very friendly. We had a continental breakfast which was fantastic. Lots of nice little extras like mints, biscuits in room etc great location between lake and shops, not far from seafront. Will definitely stay again"

"Nice rooms, friendly staff and ideal location"

"The hotel was lovely and nice, check in and check out were smooth processes and simple. The rooms were clean as were the bathrooms. Enjoyed our stay, highly recommend "

"I've stayed in a lot of places in Southport and this is by far the best, as soon as you walk in and getting to your room the place is spotless and nicely decorated. There's parking outside for 6 cars. The Clifton villa hotel is close to the amusements and town. I will definitely stay here again."

"Loved every thing about this place. Fabulous cafe bar, ambiance, decor, service and food (I had tapas) all top notch - I would be a regular if I didn’t live 250 miles away. Room for the night was small but luxurious, comfy bed, great bed linen and great shower. Whoever designed and runs this place knows what they are doing. Excellent and thoroughly recommend visiting this little gem."

"Michael was excellent as were the accommodations!"

"Fabulous stay, met by Cliff who was professional and attentive throughout. The hotel is spotless. The room has everything you need including a fridge, ironing board and iron. The breakfast is excellent and well presented. Hotel is well located and has a small car park"
