"Beautiful views of the glacier, very nice spacious room (we got the corner suite) which was able to easily accommodate a roll out bed. bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Outdoor sauna and hot tub with an amazing pond completed the features. A very nice restaurant and a well furnished bar were the cherry on the pie."

"The staff at reception were very welcoming and extremely helpful! Overall, the hotel was clean and quiet, with plenty of food and shopping nearby. The morning of our departure, our ride to the airport had to cancel last minute, but reception was quickly able to secure a new van for our large group and held our luggage in a secure room while we walked around Reykjavik. Overall, a very nice stay!"

"Free parking, though the car park filled up in evening and had to park in unmarked area (checked ok with reception). The hotel has several buildings so don't unload vehicle until checked in. Their website does warn you about no elevators in the main building. The room was fine for a night. Bed comfortable and black out curtains that covered the window!! Bathroom is a little tight with old style shower curtain and bath combination but no problem for us. Breakfast was a reasonable range of items. The staff were very efficient in cleaning and clearing tables whilst ensuring items didn’t run out. Hofn has several places to eat in addition to the hotel restaurant and a couple of fuel stations for topping up."

"Overall excellent hotel. There was some construction going on that caused some noise but that will abate once completed. Staff was outstanding."
