If a restful holiday is part of your travel plans, Black Sand Beach might be the perfect place to visit during your trip to Vik I Myrdal. While you're here, you can savour the top-notch restaurants.
Good launch point for visits to Reynisfjara, Dyrhólaey, and attractions across central south Iceland. Not much happening in Vik itself -- it's a very small town. But there are a couple good dining options, a pub, and a great coffee shop.

If you're in Vik and love coffee, you must visit Skool Beans- it's run out of a school bus and it has the best coffee I've had in a very long time. They also have super cool souvenirs.

The black sand beach is a 5 minute drive away. Vik town centre is a 10 minute drive away. Not walkable in the winter. You definitely need a car.
