"Absolutely stunning room and breakfast at the hotel across the parking lot was a bonus. The property is on the main road in town so the view is just OK but the location is unbeatable and it was very quiet at night. Only complaint was the lights... numerous switches and its not clear what controls what. And the fireplace ran out of fuel but we didnt contact anyone as we were only there for 2 nights. Wish we couldve stayed longer!"

"The Farmhouse Lodge is a group of various buildings that allow people with different travel ideas to put those ideas into action. For instance, people were sleeping in their own tents on the property, people were sleeping in the tent-like places that are permanently on the property, people were sleeping in a hostel of sorts, and we had a private, one bedroom little house. You must keep in mind that this place is an old farm, so the place is old and not fancy. However, we enjoyed the space, the views, and the convenience to three different tours we took. The reason it lost a star is because we had no way to block the sunlight when we were trying to sleep. When Iceland has 20 hours of sun, guests still need to sleep…likely more than four hours. We stuffed pillows into the windows which almost worked. Stay here if you want a convenient location near the south shore!"
