"We really enjoyed our stay at the Black Pearl. We came in very early in the morning and reception staff escorted us immediately to our apartment, explaining its features clearly. It is quiet and extremely clean, and like all of Reykjavik, very safe for tourists. It is located a short walk from excellent restaurants, coffee shops, a great art museum, and the harbor front. I'd say it was about a 5-7 minute walk to the middle of downtown. It's also a quick walk to the pick up points for day tours...

"The caretaker was nice enough to offer us a pan and some salt for cooking although these stuff should have been available in the room anyway. There was no hair blower in bath room. The curtain on the windows couldn't even block the light and made it difficult to continue sleeping in the morning. The information given prior to arrival was wrong and it was embarrassing to knock the door of other guests when looking for caretaker. The good thing is that there is a playground just down the house...

"Its a great property right in the middle of downtown, yet very quiet and opposite a church and hence secluded from the noise. Staff were very friendly. I took the buffet option for my kids and they loved it. The staff at the buffet were fantastic. So was the front desk. Our room was super clean and we had more space than what we needed or expected. It was a 3 room apartment. The hotel doesn't provide parking but there is plenty of parking in front (P1) or around the block (P2). I would consider...
