Tanah Gajah was by far the most relaxing vacation my wife and I have ever had. From our villa with infiti pool looking on to the rice paddies to the private walled accomodation, the extensive beautifully designed gardens, wonderful food by chef Dean, everything superb! Staff couldn’t do enough and everyone, from ground staff to housekeeping to management should be proud of your customer services, a truly fantastic experience, my wife and I can’t wait to come back.

We spent 4 days here. If you want privacy, this is the place to come - you have your own villa (with walled garden, deck and plunge pool), the "room" service is great. You'll have your breakfast on your deck (monkey situation permitting) or inside the villa. Talking about monkeys - the name "Monkey Forest" is not there for marketing only. Stayed in the One Bed Villa with Pool and it was great. Location is perfect. Right next to the beach and a five min walk from loads of shops and restaurants.

I've visited over 30 countries and stayed in well over 150 hotels and the Viceroy is my favorite! First class private villa with pool and 5 star facilities. Made to order breakfast inside your villa each morning and the hospitality from staff is amazing. Nothing is too much and they helped with dinner bookings as well as excursion trips. Overall outstanding experience and i wish I could give it 6 stars. Highly recommended 😍

This is the most beautiful property we have stayed in Bali. We were very appreciative of a complementary upgrade to a 3 bedroom villa - especially welcomed as it was my birthday weekend. A little out of the way but the complementary shuttle is available and we used it many times - often a motorised golf cart to cool you as you travel around Seminyak. It is peaceful and quiet. Really stunning villa. Loved the staff very friendly and we got little gifts every night which was really sweet! Good eats locally and their room service was great too! Would recommend and come there again. Loved our private pool too!

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was a wonderful stay. The villa was spotless and extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful and kind. We were travelling with a small baby and he was looked after so well by the staff. The resort pool is in a lovely location, looking out over the beach. The meals were delicious and the hotel is close to some great restaurants as well. I would highly recommend staying at The Samaya if you visit Bali.

It was an excellent experience! We were greeted with their staff upon arrival and we were kindly shown around the Dining corner in the restaurant located in the resort and then we were taken to our one bed private villa and pool, and given a 'Happy Honeymoon' cake which was delicious! Just stayed here for 4x nights, Villa was nice and private and very quiet. Communications is done over WhatsApp which is convenient but someone is at reception if you don’t have WhatsApp. Breakfast was nice with a few choices, private pool was nice and clean, free transport to the square twice per day is also good although taxis are not too expensive. The square and beach is around a 20 minute walk away, there are some local convenience shops near by. Would certainly stay here again!

We stayed here for 5 nights over NYE and had the most amazing time! Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. They provided the best service and have adapted well to new restrictions due to covid-19. The villas are stunning and have all of the essentials. The food was great and served in a timely manor. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon. We were delighted with our villa, which had an outdoor bathtub, two showers (indoor and outdoor). All with hot water. We had a private plunge pool as well, and lovely outdoor area with a daybed and dining table. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly. The location of the hotel is a bit further from the main Ubud, however it was really pretty resort you really did not need to leave if you didn't want to. The swimming pool area was lush....
