"Very well priced. beautiful building, safe neigborhood, free parking are a plus. But had to wait at reception for a while because nobody is availaible, one note was placed on the reception desk to inform who to call in case of an emergency (is checking in an emergency?) Building closes at 1 pm and check out is at 9 already. But overal, it's okay for the price you pay so no real complaints here. Wifi signal was too weak."

"This place is a private house converted into guest rooms, including the cellar. My room was in the cellar. It didn't have a window, only a skylight with a grate across. It was dark and one morning there was a slug crawling on the floor. The bed didn't have a proper mattress or bedding. On top of the bed was a foam topper, on top of that a day blanket and a cover blanket that I don't think were clean. The front door has a key code, but the door was left open most of the time by the other...

The rooms are spacious and had all the amenities inside and outside except parking which is not expected in the busy street of town centre. "Very unclean and worn building. Half of it was a building site so works began early in the morning. The basement room had a window that you could hear people moving about all night. The shower and bathroom were so bad we really refrained from using it at all. A taxi driver informed us that there are women who offer extra services in this hostel. AVOID THIS HOSTEL. Wasn’t even cheap compared to other accommodation we were just desperate for somewhere to sleep. "

"To avoid. We have payed 1 room for 2 days that we have not been able to take. We have not been able to have the keys for the room even if we had payed for it in advance and called the hotel several times some hours before and after the check-in hours to have the check-in instructions and the code to take the key of the room. The telephone proposed in the platform is a voicemail, no one has answered or called us back. Text messages are only answered by Expedia, not by the hotel. Finally, we have...

"Pretty clean. Front door was either locked or always slightly ajar. Only one key to the room, so if your roommates went off without telling you there was a good chance you got locked out of your room. No breakfast, only got a towel on the second day I was there."

"Great stay at the Ameron Köln. Room was super comfortable, upscale and quiet. The Ameron really feels like a luxury hotel and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. I am not too familiar with Cologne, but while the location of the hotel did not appear to be right in the center of everything, it was only a 10 minute walk to a main street where we already had dinner reservations, and maybe a 10 EUR Uber to other areas. A major train line runs literally right by the hotel and was very easy to catch back for our return home from old town. So perhaps there may be better locations to stay, but regardless, I would definitely choose the Ameron for next time. I loved it!"
