"We absolutely loved our stay! The room was gorgeous, the staff were incredibly kind, the hotel is beautiful and the location is perfect. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Only room for improvement is the gym (needs weights and wipes) but we know that’s not something everyone requires in a stay. We’d come back here again in a heartbeat!"

"Amazing stay! Hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable and walking distance to restaurants and the Main Street for shopping, The hotel rooftop bar and restaurant had the best views of the city and the ocean, The food was delicious and Saturdays they have a fantastic DJ. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and even room service. The bathroom towel heater was a great bonus to catch up on laundry and having it dry quickly. Have lunch at Bon Jardin one block away for the best rotisserie chicken ever… the line is long but worth it! Enjoy this beautiful hotel. It was a Department Store in a prior life."

"Locke de Santa Joana is a quirky, unique, and very enjoyable place to stay. Built in a beautifully converted monastery, the property still retains many of its original architectural features, which gives it a lot of character and makes it feel very different from a typical hotel. Our room was comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and had an excellent bed—we slept very well. We also loved how completely dark the room became at night. The layout of Building D was a little confusing at first, particularly with the negative floor numbers and the top floor being labeled “0,” which is very unfamiliar to Americans, but once we figured it out, it was fine. The food on the property was excellent. We enjoyed both the breakfast and the small outdoor café. The staff was friendly and helpful, although we did handle our own luggage. The location was also very convenient for the sightseeing we wanted to do around Lisbon. This is not a traditional luxury hotel, but it doesn’t try to be. It is stylish, comfortable, distinctive, and an excellent property for what it is. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return."

"Great location in a busy area, but quiet in the rooms. Large well appointed bathrooms, but small bedrooms, however there were larger options we didn’t upgrade to. The restaurant had excellent food and the drink options were great! Staff was always pleasant and spoke multiple languages."
