"The building was absolutely beautiful, a historic landmark inside the old city and the room was magnificent. The staff was amazing, from our check in with Jeremy to our poolside dinner and cocktails courtesy of Edwin, to breakfasts with Fabian we loved the staff. We stayed in building 2 which had much bigger rooms. This was one of our all time favorite hotels!!"

"We had an amazing stay at the InterContinental Cartagena and loved every minute of it. The hotel is perfectly located right on the beach, making it easy to relax and enjoy the ocean, and it’s also very walkable. Just across the street there are tons of shopping options for souvenirs and clothing, along with a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. The infinity pool was one of our favorite parts of the hotel—so refreshing and absolutely gorgeous with its ocean views. It was the perfect place to unwind. Room service was fantastic, and housekeeping consistently kept our room clean, fresh, and comfortable throughout our stay. We highly recommend the InterContinental Cartagena. It exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back! We even stayed an extra day!"

"This was a lovely hotel with great staff. Food was excellent. Position for walking around the town was good and there were lots of bars and restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Would definitely recommend."

"The staff at this hotel are really nice and helpful. The ladies at the cafe and the pool bar were very warm and friendly. The girls at the spa were amazing when I got my massage. The maids and cleaners were always smiling and would greet you. Rooms were clean, bathrooms are concrete floors but clean and sanitary. The food at the cafe and pool bar was pretty good and there are other hotels and restaurants within walking distance. You are also a USD $5 cab ride away from El Centro where you can walk easily and safely around to restaurants, cafes, and shops. It’s right across from the beach and a huge Cartagena sign for photos and beach life. Beach across from the hotel is only a 6 out of 10 but I may be a beach snob. There is a beach that you can do a cheap excursion to called El Blanco in Baru. Blue water, jet skis, about a 90 min ride by bus where you see the countryside of Colombia. Highly recommend."
