Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
The property offered the unique Cotswold curve appeal as desired. The interior was well kept, clean and presentable. Our room was road side so little option to open windows securely for ventilation or views. I assumed that the full premises was dog friendly according to expedia but upon notifying the property of us having a dog we had to be moved to a specific dog friendly room.
Very accommodating for having the dog in the seating and eating areas outside of the restaurant.
I found the property to lack atmosphere. In every corner there were people whispering as to not be overheard as there was no background music at any point.
The staff were polite but not talkative and seemed to be busy or short handed.
The breakfast was very good, however the main meal we had on our first night was not. So we tended to eat in other areas. Over all we found the prices every in Burnham to be higher than we are used to in London.
I would say the high street had minimal places to eat or drink due to a few pubs being closed completely and the others being more day time only. Also being a bank holiday weekend most had run out of food or fully booked.
I would say it was nice to understand what the area had to offer but was not quite blown away. Checked out early on our final day to skip traffic and breakfast.
