The Swallow Falls Inn - The Inn Collection Group

The Swallow Falls Inn - The Inn Collection Group

8/10 Good
"Hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Food was of a good quality and served reasonably quickly. Soft drinks were expensive but plenty of choice of alcoholic drinks. Bedroom toilet could of done with extra toilet rolls, but room was very nice and king size bed very comfortable. Evening sleep was broken up by a fire alarm in the room and adjoining rooms going off at 4.15. vacated the room after contacting security twice to inform them of the alarm. Left standing in the carpark along with other guests for approximately ten minutes before someone from security attended. No information supplied by security or hotel staff and were let back into the room approximately ten minutes after his arrival. No organisation and lack of information provided."

"Clean compact room - accessed by a small staircase. The building is an old property in an elevated position and we had a great Seaview over the pier. We didn't stay for Breakfast but did eat in the restaurant which was good. All the parking spaces were taken by the time we arrived but there were spaces on the road leading to the pier car park so didn't cause an issue. I would stay again."

"The hotel has good facilities which we fully used including the bar, restaurant, parking and nice gardens to walk around, the staff were all really helpful and polite. The room was a bit dated and could have done with some new furnishings but was clean and as we requested, made up daily by the housekeeping team. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a short walk to Llanberis path, Snowdon Railway and town centre."

Château Rhianfa

8/10 Good
"The main hotel is stunning! Beautifully decorated and really charming. The 'beach' is a bit of an overstatement but the views of the water are incredible. Now the room ... although it is advertised (not particularly well though) that the private bathroom for the double room is not in the room ... i think any hotel that is under expedias luxury programme should be able to sell any rooms without an inroom bathroom ... especially when the other rooma in the lodge are not much for expensive! Either the room needs to be heavily discounted for the inconvience of having to leave the bathroom and go down the hall tp use the bathroom or the room should not exist. As for the free breakfast.. it was brought to us without cutlery and as we were in the lodge when we tried to call reception to get some sent up there was no connection ... so my partner had to eat his breakfast with a tea spoon & i did not even bother... once again not fitting into the premise of a luxury hotel .."

"We were surprised to find that guests have to pay an additional fee for parking. The building is quite old, so the ventilation wasn’t great and the room felt quite stuffy. Even though it was already the end of August, the room still felt quite warm and poorly ventilated. At night, there was also quite a lot of noise coming from the hotel kitchen downstairs, which was quite disturbing. Apart from these points, the staff were all very nice and friendly."
