"Staff at breakfast time could be more pleasant and helpful. On first morning of breakfast the only fruit on offer were apples but the next two mornings they had melon and Greek yogurt. On our last day the pool was out of action which was disappointing, thankfully it was fine on our other two days. The hotel is very central."

"The hotel, room, staff, food were all fabulous. From the welcome I received from the front door staff, who found the multi-tasking receptionist without being asked to moment I left the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was lovely, it was clean, airy and the coffee bags were an unexpected treat (I’d expected the usual coffee tubes) the room was nicely decorated and not the soulless reliable repeatable version the big chains provide. The hotel is recommended and my first choice next time I’m back in the area. Parking is limited but I stayed on a busy Friday night and found s space. "

"A lovely unique property full of character. Very friendly and helpful staff. Being an old building with many original features it has its flaws but they add to its charm. All beautiful original windows so no double glazing. They rattle if it’s windy! Our room got very hot even with the radiator turned off due to the old water pipes. We opened the windows and issue was largely solved. The views over Menai Strait were spectacular. The restaurant is excellent and well worth making a reservation. "This hotel has very extensive building work and has scaffolding outside the building . The pool changed room where closed and it would have been nice to have a robes. We had a room in the roof . Room was quite cold but very clean . "
