The rooms were great. Very clean and good size. 2 Bathrooms were great, one on suite. Showers were really good, and the whole place was beautifully clean. Our little terrace looks out to the rear of residential flats, but it totally added to the charm and feel of the whole experience.

Lovely rooftop terrace and wonderful staff throughout the hotel. Would have liked a kettle with tea and coffee options and not just an espresso machine. Location is perfect with many dining options and great shopping. Amazing vegan and vegetarian options nearby. Would definitely return.

Location is perfect close to beach and mainstreets.
It's the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. They have a lot of cleaning people, cleaning kitchen, toilets and shower rooms regularly.
I really appreciated this as I was nervous to stay in a hostel because I like clean toilets/showers.
The beds were comfortable and have privacy curtains on each bunk and your own bed light, 1electric socket, 2 usb charging connectors.
A lot of space in the kitchen to cook and store some food in the cupboards...

Having never visited Barcelona before we we decided to have a city break to see the sights before we headed off to Australia permanently. We were amazed to find so much to see and do. What an amazing city. Friendly helpful people, great tapas restaurants and wonderful architecture. An awesome experience The apartment was really lovely with an en-suite bathroom to die for. No view from the window but who needs a room with a view when there's so much to see and do !! It's probably best to ring to...

This place felt more like a friend's house than a hostel. The rooms are simple, with basic but comfortable furnishings. I had an ensuite that again was basic yet functional. There is a great lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen. They offer one of the best value breakfasts I have had in a long time. I would certainly consider staying there again.

Hotel is perfectly positioned in between the centre of Barcelona and the beach.
Whilst I was there on a separate reservation for work the first 2 days the conference facilities were great and the hotel itself was well maintained.
The team working in the hotel were always more than happy to help.
I felt safe as a solo traveller going to and from the hotel, and staying in the hotel itself.
Only negatives were shower and screen looking tired, then the aircon wasn’t on across the hotel and...

I had a great room; very clean, good amenities with air conditioning. The staff were friendly and helpful - I arrived late in the evening and was given options for where to eat and get a beer.
The location was perfect for me; near the train station - I came in on a late train and was catching another the next morming.
Very good value for money.

We stayed in two apartment rooms at the Hotel Bertran for four nights. Our two eldest girls (13 and 10) were delighted to share an apartment next door to ours and our son (8) shared our apartment. The beauty of the hotel for us was that it offered no frills accommodation, a short metro ride from the centre of Barcelona, but far enough away to be feel like a bolt hole, with the massive bonus of having a (small) swimming pool on the roof in which the children (and grown ups) can splash and cool...

Lovely experience, staff gave us a complimentary upgrade and allowed us to check in early at no expense. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
