"This lodge was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed, and the off-season price was great. The room (with jetted hot tub) was amazing. Every detail was thoughtfully seen to. From robes for the hot tub, wood stacked for a fire, and pairs wine glasses, water glasses, and coffee mugs. The balcony was so nice to sit out on in the morning sun. The restaurant food and drinks were delicious. The bed was very comfortable, and the decor was so inviting.
The staff was also so notable for their friendliness and warmth, from the check-in person, to the woman who made my cocktail, to my amazing waitress. I was on my own after dropping my only child off at college, and this place was just what I needed to relax for the night. I would have loved to have stayed a week. If you're looking for a getaway in a gorgeous location, Callahan's Lodge is the place."
