What a delightful hotel! We were greeted on our arrival by Morgan, who was charming and very helpful. The room was lovely and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in! It is just a few minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants and we used the complimentary bikes to ride to the beach in the opposite direction. The pool was perfect to cool down and relax on the sun beds. All the staff were friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel. We will definitely be back again....

If you are looking for something a little different then Hoyt House is your go to on Amelia Island! Oodles of character, beautiful rooms with their own bit of history and the best, most attentive and ‘keen to help’ staff. Breakfast was a delight too. I can’t rate this place highly enough…. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Second trip to this beautiful property. Julie and David are such kind and generous hosts. The breakfasts were delicious and the happy hour enticing. The Blue Heron is in a very attractive part of town, in a most convenient location for exploring the many sights of Fernandina Beach

As part of a four week tour of SE USA from the UK this was definitely a highlight. It annoys me intensely when people say they give 110% or 11/10 but, in truth, and if I could, both of these measures would apply to Williams House.
Veronica truly does give 100% in her commitment to providing the opportunity for a marvelous stay.
The rooms are beautifully and thoughtfully presented and deserve the 10/10 unequivocally. Breakfast was a total delight and as far removed from the all-too-common...

We spent three delightful days on Amelia Island exploring the town and enjoying early morning walks on the beach. Highlights of our visit were the Saturday market, the re-anactment at Fort Clinch and visiting historic houses in the town. Although there always seems to be something going on in the town. The hotel is situated about a mile from the historic district, half a mile from the Fort and overlooks the beach with easy access over the dunes.

I had a wonderful stay here. I could pick my room on the app and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room decor was very tasteful and restful. Great room facilities with a good size fridge and microwave. The beach was about a 5 minute walk and the property was easy to find. Parking was easy. There was a good supply of snacks/microwave meals/icecream if you want a quiet night in. I would be very keen to return!

Stayed with our 3 kids for 3 nights. The usual Springfield suits room, basic, comfortable and practical.
Good breakfast.
Loved the pool and enjoyed a pool side drink in the evening at the bar while the kids splashed away.
2 minutes to the beautiful beach. Couple of good dinner options in easy walking distance. Many more a short drive.

This was a fabulous hotel that just needs some tweaks for improvement to hit that 5 star. The views are incredible, the pool area is lovely, although does get very crowded and people are reserving sunbeds at 7am! Don’t expect to get a front row after 7.30am. This is the same for most beds by 8/8.30. Every day we came down, the pool drinks tables were sticky and dirty from the day before which shocked me for a resort of this level.
Drinks service around the pool could be quite slow, we waited 50...

Everything was perfect for what we needed, breakfast was a little lacking on choice, but, there wasn’t much counter space, and for what we paid, it wasn’t bad, bacon or sausage patty with a form of egg on a bagel will always win :-)
