This hotel was such a wonderful surprise. It is centrally located and a quick, two block walk to Union Square. The lobby and beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. Our room was small but welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.
5 months ago, i stayed in super 8 in san francisco union square.
here was nice location.nice staff.
every san francisco hotels are so expensive. i think here was also not cheap.
but it's cheaper than other hotels.
so i choose again this trip.
i arrived in san francisco early. so i worried about where i go.
i just went to the this hotel because i wanted someone keep my bag.
but super 8, checked room and than i could check in early!
location also very comfortable.
The hotel itself is situated 1 minutes walk to Market Street where most of the shopping is located the convenience itself is a plus. The staff is really fantastic they give guest the feel of home especially for a first time guest of the city their service in my opinion surpass the 5 stars hotel.
As to safety the area in general there are a lot of homeless people asking for money and cigarette you just have to be polite and reject them no need to be mean or aggressive towards them mind you there is also 5 star hotel in the same area but the hotel staff really do their part by not letting non guest to enter the hotel which includes the use of their toilets. I would strongly advice family visitors do not let their children roam about in the nights.
If you need a cab let the front desk know so that they get their regular/trusted cab drivers to service you but as most of the things are nearby the only time you may need the cab is to the airport.
This hotel is beautiful. I love this hotel and I say that despite the fact that I hate Union Square. Abri is super smart in terms of technology--HDMI, etc to hook up your iPad, etc to their tv--AND they provide wine glasses!!!! Staff were so friendly and helpful. It is very conveniently located. We may be making an overnight at Abri as part of our annual anniversary celebration.
