Stayed for one night; cheap cab ride from Bristol Parkway station but is walkable in the light. Good staff recommendations for places to eat. Great breakfast. All in all good value. Definitely coming back when I need a stopover!
With the public rooms in the old Grange, the Grange Hotel gave a very pleasing impression. It is located well outside Bristol city limits, but is still only a 15 minute drive from the city centre. Located on a hill in open countryside in simple, but well maintained grounds, it is a very pleasant location.
The whole establishment was clean and discretely decorated (It is the start of the Christmas party season). The staff were efficient, pleasant and friendly. The rooms were superbly comfortable and, although clearly of an older installation, in very good order.
We only used the dining room for breakfast, but it was comfortable, the food was excellent, well presented and the staff discretely helpful.
We had only problem with a minor water leak in the bathroom, but the staff dealt with it quickly and efficiently.
Overall, this has to be the best hotel we have stayed at in some 30 years of globetrotting and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting either Bristol or the surrounding countryside.
I stayed for two nights when I arrived the owner was there to greet me, she was friendly & welcoming. The room was clean & tidy the breakfast was good & arrived promptly after I arrived in the dining rm. Over all I would stay here again.
