“Fabulous stay, will definitely return...”

My daughter and I stayed at Andaz for the New Year holiday and we loved it. We found the location superb for mid-Manhattan. It sits on 5th Avenue across from the Library, within walking distance of all the major shops, Rockefeller Centre, Times Square, the Theatre District and Central Park. We walked a lot, but we also found the taxis fairly priced, but needing to learn an awful lot from our London cabbies:) The hotel interior was created my an Asian designer, and it is cool and comfortable. The Shop offers an interesting menu and the quality of the food is very good. A nice touch is the complimentary wine offered in the Library in the late afternoon/early evening. The staff made us feel very welcome, especially Renae.

“Amazing Andaz!”

Just returned from a 3 night stay at The Andaz 5th Avenue Hotel. What a fantastic place to stay in New York! Firstly, the location: perfect. Directly opposite the New York Public Library (which is a beautiful building and well worth a visit), Times Square, Grand Central Station and The Empire State Building are all within a 5 minute walk. Whilst designer shopping and Central Park are 15 minutes away. Situated on the corner of 5th Avenue and 41st Street, the hotel has excellent views in every direction. The hotel itself is contemporary and stylish with staff that are friendly, helpful and professional. As for our room: wow! We booked a King Room with a view but when we arrived, we found that as we were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday, the hotel had very kindly upgraded us to a Splash Suite! It was huge, with an entrance area, sitting room, free-standing bath, amazing bathroom, 2 large flat screen TVs and a bedroom where you can lie in bed and look at The Empire State Building! Also, there is a complimentary mini bar which is replenished daily. Had breakfast in the hotel on the first day and the food was very good but expensive: $69 for porridge, ham and eggs, toast and marmalade and 2 glasses of juice! But I guess this is to be expected in a hotel of this quality, in the centre of Manhattan. This is a vibrant, stylish hotel, in a fantastic location, with professional staff that give great customer service. Book it - you won't be disappointed!

“Booking a must”

We arrived at the hotel feeling very jet lagged but the customer service from the outset was fantastic. We were shown to a seat offered a hot drink and were checked in by the staff whilst sat down and sipping a hot drink. We were shown to our room and the girl explained everything we needed to know about the room and the services the hotel had to offer and she also gave us a card with her number on so that we could contact her in the day if we needed to. The hotel room was gorgeous, very minimalistic, modern, extremely clean and the bathroom was amazing, with a wet shower with hand shower and foot bath, beautiful chrome sinks and very clean. Plenty of towels and soaps were providedand soft drinks, water,crisps and granola bar were complimentary in the room. We used room service for a quick sandwich,again good service and the portion size was huge. If there was to be a slight criticism, more hanging space and another bedside table to store underwear would have been nice. We also had breakfast in the hotel and the quality of the food was very good, maybe not as cheap as eating out but it was considered good for the money and we ate there again just before we left for our flight home. Also every evening between 6 -9pm the hotel offered complimentary wine and soft drinks which was really lovely as it made a good start to the evening. I would definitely book this hotel again, the customer service, quality of the room and the overall experience was second to none.

“Excellent hotel”

From the greeting we received as soon as we crossed the threshold, to the attentiveness of staff, to the views from the room, to the comfort, space & quality of the furnishings and fittings, this was, without doubt, the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at in Manhattan and the location is fabulous! I doubt I'll stay anywhere other than here when in Manhattan again.

“A little piece of calm in the middle of NYC...”

This is the first time that I have bothered to write a hotel review, but having just returned from a great holiday I felt compelled to share such a great find with fellow travellers... The hotel was gorgeous - stunning interior (if, like me, you like a modern design) and clean. The small touches, such as complimentary soft drinks and snacks, free wifi and use of their laptop and printer in the library were really appreciated. Staff were always on hand if you needed them but also kept out of your way if you did not. Our room (Andaz Loft) was clean and looked great. I loved the high ceilings and the feeling of space. Our bed was really comfortable and the foot bath in the shower room was most welcome after a long day of walking in the sun! The only thing I felt was lacking was a bit more storage space for clothes - there was a small hanging space with hangers and one draw in each bedside table. We were able to fit all our clothes in these with room to spare, but only because we were staying for 4 days and not longer... Finally, the location was great. We were just around the corner from Grand Central Station and within a short walk of several major attractions (e.g. Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Centre, Central Park, etc.) and great shopping. Overall, I feel that the Andaz 5th Avenue is definitely worth considering if you're planning to stay in NYC. If we are lucky enough to go back I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

“The wonderful Andaz!”

This is a hip and fashionable hotel in an wonderful location at Bryant Park so handy for everything. No effort is spared by the staff to ensure our stay was enjoyable, from offering a cold drink when we arrived, to complementary wine in the evenings, coffee and fruit in the morning and to celebrate hubby's birthday a complementary bottle of champagne with biscuits and fruit - very classy!! We stayed in a loft room which was beautiful and enjoyed the use of luxurious bathrobes and slippers and free wifi access. The large bed was soooo comfortable - especially after a day pounding the NYC streets. We would definately recommend this hotel and would return.

Hotel Andaz is in a great location and had great service and was an overall great hotel. It helped by getting an upgrade but service and attention to detail was fantastic.

Good central location. Staff helpful and polite, rooms very clean, modern and feel spacious with high ceilings. Availability of free soft drinks in mini bar and library with tea, coffee and wine in evenings very welcome and a nice touch. All seems organised to make your stay stress free. Free wifi, use of laptop and printer in library so can print off boarding passes etc helpful.
