Excellent for everything, restaurants and bars where all a stones through away and the gift shop which is attached to the hotel was great for snacks, drinks, don’t use the hotel shop it is way overprices and the gift shop is practically next door to it, a can of coke in the hotel shop £2.00 same can of coke in the gift shop 90p

Everything was very good except the water in a shower… it was fluctuating from cold to very hot pretty frequently. I could not have a proper shower. That was frustrating thing. Everything else was fine, location is good, very easy transportation to anywhere around the town.

The President Hotel is convenience located near by underground station and a tons of restaurants, I felt safe walking around the area. The cleanliness in my room was not good, the carpet was dirty, out of the 5 elevators only one go up to the 7th floor and some times it doesn’t work and the door was difficult to open, all the rest of the elevators it can only go up to the 6th floors and occasionally we have to walk up the stairs to the 7th floor, I just wish that was told to me before I decided to select top floor. Overall my experience was decent,

Convenient to Russell St Station. Rooms are small but cost is reasonable. 7th floor access is through an old lift and for some rooms you still have to go up and down some stairs which is difficult with luggage.

This hotel was actually so terrible that we ended up going back to the front desk and getting a refund/checking out. The rooms smelt like cigarettes and such a strong b.o. smell it was unbearable. The hallway from the elevators to the rooms were dirty and had bags of trash and lots of used dishes scattered around. Would never recommend this hotel!!!

The staff were helpful and polite. The lobby is nice but I was not impressed with the hallways or the room. The bed was uncomfortable due to mattress and pillows. All night long you could hear others using the bathroom - the plumbing was loud. The shower did not drain well so we had keep turning the water off to let it drain then continue our shower. The placement of the toilet roll holder made it impossible to sit normally.

The hotel is nicely maintained and great value for money. The room has all basic ameneties and was clean and pleasant. We had some sort of vent outside our window which was very loud and the room smelled of food at times as it was next to the kitchen, but this was only an issue before 10pm. Staff were friendly and were quick to help us with the heating when the valve was stuck on the radiator. We never used the bar/restaurant but it looked nice!

Staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel is in need of an upgrade. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety but The Atrium Restaurant was at the opposite side of the hotel to the kitchen and had a limited menu.

Good basic comfortable clean accommodation, ensuite clean and all working fine. TV & internet ok, bit of a drop out now and then. Tea/coffee minimum, no decaf options (you can ask but request isn't sustained) and no biscuits. Single rooms on 7th floor with no lift so you have to walk up from 6th floor. Restaurant food is basic portioned-up fare and special requests can't be accommodated, better to eat out. Good luggage deposit service. Handy for transport links. Front door isn't fully automated, so accessibility not easy for those with mobility issues, needs a door staff presence.

I recommend you do not stay at this hotel. The building is under a major renovation, and has been since October we were told. We were not told about the construction noise from 8 to five everyday, and lack of hot water from 10 to 5, until after we paid. There are other hotels in the same area for a similar price. Noise levels of 45 to 65 db due to construction during most of the day. It was not possible to talk to each other in our room during the day, and forget taking a nap. Even after the construction workers left for the day, hotel staff were active in thr halls removing debris from adjacent rooms until late at night. Called a number of times for a different room, which was met with indifference from line staff and supervisors. I could not find any reference to this problem on either the hotel or Expedia's web sites until after looking at the recent negative reviews once we had been there for a day and a night. If we knew then what we would have to endure, we would have canceled our reservation long ago and booked elsewhere. We had booked for 5 nights and were told there are no refunds or discounts.

Let’s just say that this review is 5 start only due to the excellence of the hotel staff. Sorry for the long review, I wish I knew the hotel was under renovation. I wouldn’t have booked it. When we checked in, the front desk informed us that the repairs and maintenance will happen daily between 10-4 pm (no hot water during that time). Even though it’s kinda early for us, we understand and respect it. However, what we didn’t expect was the noise of banging and drilling started at 7:30 am. We were not the only ones upset about it. I felt so bad for the staff. The management should have coordinated better with the time and the sections being repaired. After expressing our concern that we still have few nights left, they moved us to another room on another floor and offered us complementary breakfast. These rooms were newer and half of the size. I am 5’3 115 lb. I couldn’t move around much in the room with my two carryon size suitcases. Unfortunately, the next morning the noise continued and strong smell of tar came in thru the bathroom vent. At this point, we were tired and frustrated. We decided to check out and find another hotel. With the help of Expedia and the hotel manager Andrea, the nights we didn’t stay was refunded and offered 1/2 refund on the last night we stayed. I am grateful for the accommodation. All this being said, wait until renovation is done. This hotel is clean, comfortable, conveniently located and the staff is really friendly.

I was told that I would have Wifi in my room and I asked for assistance twice. The 2nd time they told me they couldn't help and to call a number. I don't think that is my responsibility when you advertise free wifi. I should not be expected to spend my holiday figuring out your wifi problems. Also, there was no hot water during the day which I should have been told before booking so I think some compensation should have been offered for the inconvenience eg. breakfast.

If you'll stay around the end of June, summer, I do not recommend to stay at this hotel. There's no air circulation inside the room and no air condition. At mid-night or early morning, the outside temperature 60F but inside room temperature 95F. Never went down. We stayed from June 19 -23, 2023.
