“Best value for money around Gatwick”

I chose this hotel out of a hurry to find accommodation to stay overnight for my flight connection. I was hesitating given the number of options and that some reviews were quite gloomy. Nonetheless, I stayed in this chain before in Trinidad & Tobago and although pricey, I couldn't complain about quality. Well, fact is that I was right and really made the right decision. The hotel is really new having opened just in April 2009 and the whole decor is really modern and swish (very much my taste). The room was very comfortable and the bed excellent (can't beat those of Sofitel though). In general, the hotel is a really good choice, specially to stay over and continue your trip next day.

“No hesitation in booking again next time”

From the moment we arrived until we left at 4am 3 days later we were given every help and treated with the utmost courtesy by all members of staff. We really appreciated the Receptionist telling us that our flight was on time before we left the hotel. Room was very clean, comfortable and warm and had every facility that we required. As another 'reviewer' said 'never even heard a 'plane' going over - very true in our case as the majority (then all) were grounded! Evening buffet was quite basic (Starter and main) for £10 - Dinner was good although expensive. Wine at £5 per glass was ridiculous. Service was a bit slow due to shortage of staff although this was probably due to the weather conditions - so not really the fault of the hotel. It was really nice to be able to sit in the 'courtyard' area on comfortable sofas to read and have coffee - there is only so much daytime television in your room that one can take in a day. Shuttle bus at £2.50 per person per trip was a lifesaver although Gatwick departures hall is extremely basic - again no reflection on the hotel.

“Very convenient”

Nice new hotel, a short walk from the South terminal and very quiet considering how close it is to the airport.

“Convenient Hotel”

Hotel is within walking distance of Gatwick's S. Terminal. Rates are much better than those directly connected to the terminals and is only an additional 5-10 minutes walk.

“Great hotel which we will use again”

We stayed over at this hotel on 11th of April 2010 and again on 26th of April. We were very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the whole hotel. Our room was beautiful with two 4ft wide beds which had lovely white bedding and there was plenty of space in the room. The en suite bathroom was very clean and modern but not too big.( Just enough room ).There were even free toiletries to use and considering what we paid for the room we didn't expect them. When we returned from our holiday in Egypt two weeks later we were booked into the hotel for another night which was lovely. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk of Gatwick Airport. There is also a coach which runs every 20 minutes to and from both terminals at Gatwick for £2.50 per person. We had dinner in the diningroom one night and had a very good meal.

“Very Good Value”

Found hotel ideal for our overnight stop at both ends of our holiday abroad. We had no problem locating the hotel on foot from the South Terminal - a ten minute walk.
