Convenient to Swiss Cottage Tube station. Room very noisy from floorboards above which is likely because of it being period property. Slight ant infestation in room, and noticed mouse trap behind bed. Breakfast extremely busy.

Staff was very courteous and always completed my requests. Transportation is very convenient, near underground station and several bus lines. Also close to places to eat and shop for groceries. The wallpaper was peeling in spaces. Not really a bother for me, but some might not like. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would stay again in the future.

Arriving at the Swiss Cottage Hotel is like coming home. The staff is welcoming and helpful at all times. The rooms are charming. The public space comfortable. And one block from the Underground.

A simples family English still hotel
We usually stay at this hote when we come to London l, this time we got a very old-fashioned room and not so clean,although they changed the room at our request, the other room also needs renovation. The breakfast and dining room staff are excellent

Easy to find and good value. Near to Jubilee line for access to main sights. Polite, helpful staff - thank you Had twin room - clean and warm. Bed a little uncomfortable- could feel springs in places. Overall great place to stay - would stay again

A quiet hotel with friendly, very helpful staff. Underground was just minutes from the door making it convenient to get anywhere. Evening dining is limited.

Not worth it
The hotel is old and needs refurbishing. But that’s not surprising as you can see in the photos prior to booking. My problem occurred at 3am when the heating system pipes began making loud horrible noises. It was a aweful and ruined my night

Great location! Right next to Jubilee tube line. Walkable to some shops and restaurants. Property is older so floor creaks and feels like it could use some refreshing, but staff is excellent. Overall was a great stay.

Fanstastic value stay.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and accomodating for our needs as part of a large family group. A great inexpensive place to stay for a London visit. Just a few minutes walk from the tube station and lots of eating places nearby.

Unfortunately the bedroom ceiling leaked during the heavy rainstorm. The hotel was fully booked so they weren't able to move me to another room, but they did give me a full refund so that was appreciated. The hairdryer also broke on switching on but it was replaced when asked. Noticed that the tables in the bar hadn't been cleared from the previous evening at 11 am. Pros: The hotel was really close to Swiss Cottage Tube and in a quiet location. Spacious room with a large wardrobe, and nice communal lounge where I was working on my laptop after checkout. They also have a piano in the lounge which guests can use but I didn't have time to try.

We like the family room option as well as friendly staff but this hotel has seen better days. There is no investment in outside building maintenance and care of gardens & plants. It’s like great western are getting ready to flee the building ! God knows what Americans must make of this faded grandeur

This hotel is conveniently located near the Swiss Cottage tube, family room very spacious, friendly service and ample choice for breakfast. It’s an old building so expect creaking floors and appearance to be a little tired in places. Great value for room size and location.

Excellent location, quiet area close to transport links. Excellent service on arrival for check-in. Room had good facilities but was too warm in night. There wasn't a fan in the room but I learned from a fellow guest on leaving that these could be requested at reception.

Stay in 1845 townhouse near a tube station and shopping in a quiet older neighborhood? Yes please! Add a helpful, courteous staff and you have the perfect stay. Special thanks to Ian for answering all my questions and making brilliant suggestions. The full English breakfast is yummy too. Pro tip: the Wifi is strongest in the lobby.

Bathroom was large and well lit. Beds were comfortable. Face towels were available- as needed. You had to ask for them. The bathroom had black mold on the window frame. Floors were very creaky. Carpets were very worn out.

I only stayed one night but was most concerned about a screw head sticking up as u go into the bathroom and most of the grouting missing! An accident waiting to happen!

A well presented hotel in a quiet part of North London. Friendly staff, all areas were clean and tastefully decorated. This is a period property that is well cared for and is handy for the underground with Swiss Cottage tube station just a few minutes walk from the hotel. There is easily accessible underground parking a 5 minute walk away. We had a pleasant walk to Lord's cricket ground in around 20 minutes.

The property was in a nice, quiet area. Very close to public transport hubs and the staff were friendly however the room was not clean. Stains on the carpet, peeling wallpaper by the single bed and hair in the shower plug hole. This wasn't satisfactory for the price I paid for a one night stay

Well I liked the place and the staff and the closeness of transporation which is why I chose the hotel. What i disliked was that it had no air conditioning and at first I thought this wonderful hotel could be modernized but in the end it would take away too much of its charm. Then I thought I had a portable air conditioner in my house for years and they do not cost a lot less then £500 or under $700 and could be stored away when not in use.
