This hotel is a shining example to others. Everything is super. The service is excellent, staff lovely, food excellent. Ambiance is relaxing. Location not bad either! Country house hotel at its best, without any of the stuffiness. As as solo traveller I felt very comfortable. I will make a point of returning. No complaints whatsoever.

Fabulous place to stay, great attentive staff and within walking distance to city centre. Highly recommend.

This was a perfect find. Although the room we had was a little small it was immaculately clean and very warm. Bed was big and very comfy. Added value were the spa and sauna. The Restaurant was very pleasant and the food was delicious. Breakfast was exceptional and the homemade muffins a real treat.Although this was more expensive than other hotels, if you make use of all on offer it is a great choice. The location is perfect for getting around the island. The little village it is located in as...

Very enjoyable one night stay. Good location for Loch Ness and Inverness. Our room was called Ness which we booked on a last minute deal which made it value for money. Breakfast was excellent we didn't have dinner in the hotel but instead went to a superb restaurant called Fiddler's in Drumnadrochit a village on Loch Ness about 15 minutes away where they have over 600 Malt Whiskies and great food. Need to book in advance, we were lucky to get a table.

Great hotel on the water with an excellent restaurant. It was hard to find a hotel on the Isle of Skye, but we were extremely fortunate to find a room here on short notice.

Lovely ans welcoming all staff were great

Whatever negative comments you've read on here IGNORE!!!! Yea the rooms are a little tired but the place is a castle not a 5* hotel! The room is equipped with everything you need, iron, TV, bath/shower, comfortable clean beds and wifi. If you want much more than that then stay in one of the generic chain hotels. The staff are fantastic, I was shown to my room which was great and even offered assistance with my 1 bag! The food is great, home cooked with generous sizes and very reasonable...

Fantastic spacious accommodation

We have travelled the Highlands for the past 10 days and this was by far the comfiest bed!! Exceeded our expectations for the price. Lovely cooked breakfast with an incredibly hardworking owner who could not do more for you. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we’re back this way.

Had a lovely overnight stay. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Comfiest hotel bed I have ever slept in

Warm welcome, all staff friendly and helpful. Food amazing. All modern conveniences in a highland setting, log fires etc. Would highly recommend it .

The rain! This is enough while we are on holiday, don not be cheeky asking for more!

Very good, and close for the airport
