"From checkin to checkout, the Hotel Borgo Antico was the perfect stay. We were happily pleased when buzzed in as it was like stepping into an unexpected sanctuary from the somewhat "blah" street. And a huge plus is that just doors down were two very good restaurants, one a casual pub style with traditional Italian food and the other an enchanting gourmet garden restaurant with great ambiance, food and wine. The Terrace garden is a big plus, a relaxing place to unwind. The entire hotel was immaculate. So impressed at how clean everything was. Our room was on the back side so we had views of beautiful rock formations and it was really quiet. Our bathroom was large and boasted a fantastic shower. The receptionist checking us in took the time to draw on the local map and recommended several restaurants. This place is in walking distance from the Lake Como, the Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta - Duomo. and the funicular and Old Town... all within 30 minutes. Breakfast was included with a coffee bar where you could get tasty specialty coffees (also included). I'd stay here again. It's a fantastic base camp to explore Como."
"I stayed in a single room with a twin bed, desk, area to put luggage and a nice bathroom with a small shower. There wss a closet with a safe. Breakfast had coffee, tea, scrambled eggs, bacon, meat, cheese, bread, yogurt, fruit, croissants and a fruit torte. Breakfast was excellent. My room was on the courtyard so it wss quiet. On Friday night, they had a very loud rock concert going on in the square until 11:30 p.m. which could be heard in my room. Francesco at the front desk was very helpful. I would definitely go back."
