This is a fabulous, small hotel, right in the centre of Venice. Despite being really close to the Rialto Bridge, it's an oasis of calm, and the owner and his staff couldn't have done more to make us welcome. Our room was elegant and comfortable, overlooking the small terrace and the Grand Canal beyond. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

We loved it here a little out of the main drag but not far from anything at all. Bars, restaurants and tourist locations all within walking distance.

The apartment was perfect for what we needed - great location a couple of minutes from Academia bridge, clean and nicely appointed. Whoever did the modernising was not a perfectionist in terms of finish! But everything worked well and we enjoyed it enormously. The support we got from administration before out trip was excellent and the staff at the sister Hotel Nani Mocenigo Palace were absolutely delightful, friendly and helpful.

To my mind, from the outside, a traditional looking Venetian hotel, decorated inside in a period style also. A well equipped bathroom too and all very good value for money. Breakfast is included. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The location seemed good too. A perfect first stay for us.

With its location just off ST Marks square, and hotel staff who appear to 'want to please ' rather than its their job, you wont find a better hotel to stay with a Complimentary breakfast as added bonus. Fantastic hotel. Perfect location- few minutes to Rialto yet very quiet, off the beaten track. Also easy to get to/from airport (catch alilaguna ferry to Fondamenta Nove for EUR 15 and walk 7-10mins). Friendly staff, especially at breakfast (shoutout to Albert!) and reception. Nice courtyard with hot tub/pool- but be aware that kids only allowed in 11am-2pm. Junior Suite big enough for us as a couple with 1 kid- not lots of unpacking space/drawers/hooks, but not surprising for central Venice....

Amazing location on a quaint Little Bridge right near to Rialto Canal front and easy with access to water taxi and all shopping area drinks and bars check-in was faultless the host Mark was superb staying in contact, helping and making us aware of services if we wanted to book any excursions, the room was beautiful decorated has a great Shower and working air conditioning and the beds are very comfy. Beautiful location in the Rialto area but tucked away through atmospheric alleys and next to a music academy.There was always live music drifting in the air as you walked to and from the hotel. Our suite was roomy with wonderful views of the canal - better than any television, I could sit and watch the boats all day. The original fittings and decoration were wonderful. The breakfasts excellent. The beautiful lounge had balconies for a spritz in the sun.

A lovely hotel that I would recommend whole-heartedly. It is relatively small (just a few rooms), which I consider an enormous strength for Venice, which can feel overwhelming and overpopulated at times: the hotel is tucked away but wonderfully positioned - just 10 mins from the Rialto, it's hidden away from the bustle of the hotspots and tourist-traps but close enough to everything that you might wish to see. We booked El Avit to avoid Venice prices after reading Trip Advisor reviews. Reception staff were most helpful in advising us and issuing bus and boat tickets. Buffet breakfast was generous and they didn't rush you out if you came down late. Room very comfortable, quiet and thoroughly cleaned every day. Note from previous comments - air conditioning turns itself off if you open the windows and do not disturb card is in the folder in the bedroom. All together an excellent week.
