This place is a hidden gem in a typical Italian setting 5 minutes walk from Vezio Castle in the hills above Varenna ferry port.
Rita the host and Kirsty are the most helpful and friendliest people you could ever meet and absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them to do for you. The walk down to the ferry is quite steep on a cobbled trail but only takes 10 to 15 minutes and walking back up is a little more challenging especially after some wine and pasta down at the lovely restaurants in...

We would like to say a huge thank you to Matteo and team for well and truly exceeding all expectations for our stay. Their welcoming generosity and out of the box facilitation for our Wedding Day was truly appreciated, and we will remember it for the rest of our lives.

Had the perfect stay at Hotel Garni Corona and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to come to Lake Como. In my opinion, it is in the best location with only a short walk to the ferry and bus stops. Not as busy as Bellagio or Varenna and proved to be the ideal base location. Plenty of restaurants, cafe’s and gelato spots right next to the hotel. Would highly recommend the room with the lake view!
Special mention to the lady at the reception who was so helpful and welcoming which was...

The view down Lake Como from our room (No.29) was nothing short of breath taking. The staff where very very helpful and in the main spoke English (if your Italian is limited) food was very nice and reasonably priced. If you are a keen cyclist they cater with their own bikes and a workshop area. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. A bed was provided for our 12 year old son as we requested, so catering for families doesn't present any issues. The Jersey Mob

Just add a pool and it’s perfection although it already is. Staff was amazing and the room was the best for the price aswell. Could not ask for a better place to have had my proposal

When you walk into the courtyard at the Palazzo you know you are somewhere special.
Arianna is very welcoming and speaks very good English. The La Vista room we chose was simply amazing. Six big windows letting the light stream in and giving us fantastic views out over the Lake. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished and was spotlessly clean. The Palazzo has a lot of history and this is explained in the very useful information book in the room. The hotel has a private deck area right...

Enjoyable stay in September, close to the town with amazing views over the lake. This is not a corporate hotel which makes it more special. You have to allow that the design and style is more like someone's home rather than an part of an international chain of hotels. If you want to get a feel for 19th century elegance with modern facilities and service this is the place to stay. Live music in the evenings from classical musicians playing popular tunes added to the ambience. And of course...

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with amazing views over Lake Como.
We were allowed to drop our bags off as we arrived before check in. When we came back to check in our luggage had already been taken to our room. Rooms are spacious and modern and very clean and the view is amazing.
We had dinner first night and the food was great - especially the risotto!

The location of this hotel is incredible. The views we had from our room were stunning and the staff were exceptionally helpful before and throughout the stay. I struggled a bit with getting to the hotel considering I landed so late at night and public transport was a bit sparse. But with better planning from me this would've been easy. There are a couple fantastic restaurants nearby and the boat transport was so simple and easy, as well as buses. I'd come here again in a heartbeat and couldnt...

The residence is around 25–30 minutes above Lecco and offers stunning scenery, peaceful surroundings, friendly staff, and a freshly cooked breakfast made to order. The online reviews are accurate, and both the hotel and previous guests strongly recommend travelling by car, as taxis can cost €35–45 each way and many firms are reluctant to travel up to the property. Returning after a day exploring the area and watching the sunset from high above was truly relaxing.

This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed as it offers so much more than just a comfortable hotel space. The connection of Casa sull'albero to its magnificent position overlooking Lake Como is very sensitively achieved. It is a place that understands the importance of design and the simplicity and beauty of nature is allowed to shine through. There are some magnificent trees in the grounds that enhance the 'treehouse' experience.
