"Part of the problem was that I wasn't aware that it would be March break in Ontario when I booked this hotel, so that was my fault. Usually the breaks don't match up to where we are coming from. But the hotel was BANANAS. My kids were really looking forward to the pool/waterslide but during the 2 nights we stayed, we were only able to sign into the pool for 50 mins (at 10pm!) once and it was so crowded that it wasn't enjoyable. The hot tub was full of toddlers (like 8-10 at a time) even at that late hour.
The room was a decent size and clean enough, but the cold water tap in the bathroom didn't work, the kettle didn't work, the shower was extremely difficult to control (to the point of scorching) and the balcony (inaccessible) was COVERED in cigarette butts. It was truly disappointing. There weren't enough pillows for all 4 of us. I feel like (possibly) some of the room have been renovated recently and we may have been sent to the old, unrenovated part that isn't used unless the hotel is very full? I'm not really sure, but I would say that if you are looking for a hotel in this price range and neighbourhood, go stay at the Holiday Inn next to Maple Leaf Gardens, it has a better pool anyway (no waterslide, though.)
