"Although this is an exceptional property to stay at as far as cleanliness and great scenery, this time around service wasn’t as great as it usually has been, and they’ve taken away the full continental breakfast that was one of the major amenities that this hotel offered. Also the friendliness of the staff just wasn’t there like it always has been. "

The people on the property appeared to live there and they were extremely abrut and gave an uneased unsecure unsafe feeling"

"The room was clean. Loved the no carpet. Some minor quirks in the bathroom (bath faucet was lose, door handle was coming off, hair dryer was dirty). Overall, excellent room though."

"It has a great location near everything but one of the reasons I booked it was because it has an indoor pool that I suppose would be warm. The pool was very cold and the pool area too. It’s not making sense. I couldn’t swim in the pool."

"Rooms were very clean and hotel backyard area was awesome with the fireplaces and couches. We were upgraded to a large suite and had plenty of room for our four legged companion. The pool was super small and murky looking (we did not go in.) Breakfast offered a large variety of quality food and snacks."

"Easy to access from I-26 and convenient to a range of places. We had easy access to Asheville as well as Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. The room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than I expected based on reviews from others. Not a lot of hot options, no eggs and bacon, but several microwave options along with fruit and cereal. The breakfast area is clean with a nearly perfect health score and stayed well stocked. For a free continental breakfast, it’s better than decent in my opinion. "

"Breakfast service consistently ended 30–45 minutes earlier than the posted closing time, which was frustrating and inconvenient. The hotel also does not provide extra pillows, and any additional sheets or towels require guests to go down to the lobby themselves—even when these items should have been stocked based on the number of people registered for the room. When we first checked in, we walked into a room with a strong musty, damp odor. The front desk agent told us there were no other rooms available, which felt unlikely. The next day, we discovered water seeping up through the floor and reported it to a different staff member. Fortunately, he took the issue seriously and moved us to another room. However, the leak and the resulting room change forced us to postpone our planned events for the day, which significantly disrupted our schedule and spoiled what should have been an enjoyable day."
