For the small town of Three Rivers, comfort inn was very affordable and - well - comfortable. This area is not for novice hikers. Recommend Groundhog Meadow hike to get acclimated. Staff were friendly and cabin was clean and comfortable.

Basic but convenient for accessing Sequoia National Park
Three Rivers is convenient to go to Sequoia National Park. It has great breakfast and dining options all close together and a pretty river. I wouldn’t go there unless I plan a visit to Sequoia, but then it is a good option.
