"Very nice stay, clean & comfortable, good food, easy parking and close to all we wanted to see.
One very minor downfall was the noise from a dishwasher/kitchen below our room. Would happily stay again."
"Loved this cottage! Was beautiful and very comfortable plus in a great location! We were able to walk to town and there was a pub next door if needed. Parking space was amazing to have right in front and the welcome basket was such a nice treat! Highly recommend!"

10/10 Excellent
"Loved our stay in this beautiful hotel. Ideal location in centre of the village. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and quickly sorted out the payment of car parking charge at reception on arrival. Breakfast was really good and the waitresses were so helpful.

"We had a beautiful one night stay. Room was spacious and clean. We were initially concerned about the lack of air conditioning after a warm day, but with the fan supplied in the room and a window cracked we had no issues with sleeping. Thanks to the team two great recommendations - The Willow restaurant for dinner and a visit to nearby Warwick Castle "
"Absolutely delightful!
Although it is described as a 'guest house' rather than a 'hotel', the room was better than in many hotels I have stayed in, and the ensuite bathroom was absolutely first rate -- with both a bath and a shower, and excellent water pressure.
All spotlessly clean, and with abundant natural light.
Breakfast was excellent and the cooked component was prepared for each guest individually.
Location could hardly be better! 'Off the beaten track' -- but the hustle and busy-ness of Bourton-on-the-Water is just a couple of minutes' walk away. (Maybe 90 seconds.)
Only breakfast is served on the property -- but this is not an issue given the abundance of restaurants and pubs just nearby.
The owner/managers, Wendy and Clive, have beautful auras of warmth and welcome and joy. They really 'make' the place what it is.
I can imagine spending a few days here in peaceful seclusion and isolation to finish my next book -- maybe I will!

"We stayed at Lansdowne Cottage for two nights. The location was excellent — a short walk to Bourton-on-the-Water with its riverside views, shops, and restaurants. The cottage was cozy and had helpful amenities like a washer-dryer and utensils, though some items needed washing before use. Towels were limited, and we had to reuse them during our stay.
The main issue was the heat. We visited during a heat wave, and the cottage had only one small fan. Another was provided on request, but it wasn’t enough. We kept the windows open but were concerned about bugs (though we didn’t see any). For guests from the U.S. used to central AC, summer stays could be uncomfortable. That said, it would likely be lovely during cooler months.
The staff were very sweet and responsive, and we appreciated their help. Finding the cottage was a bit tricky — Google Maps misled us, and better signage would help future guests. Overall, a charming place with a great location, just be mindful of the summer heat."
"Very thoughtfully prepared cozy space. We enjoyed staying there with our two daughters. The o communication was excellent and check in and out very seamless. Location is superb if desiring to stay in Burton in the water. Beautiful, quaint town. Only complaint was lack of cooling. Luckily able to cool off at night with windows open. We really enjoyed our stay. "
"This is the perfect location to explore Burton-on-the-Water as you are right in the center of town. Check-in was easy and so was parking. The staff are very friendly and the gentleman that makes the drinks has a great sense of humor.
Our room was large and the bed was comfortable although the location of our room was very noisy as it is right where all the deliveries occur for the hotel so we could hear vans driving on the gravel and opening doors during the night (Room 10). I would stay here again but would request not to be in this room as our friends were upstairs and said it was quiet."
