"The Yamabe allows for a cheap stay at close location of Tenri JR and Kintetsu stations. The proximity of the railway may bother the ones who want a quiet stay, as the train service runs from 5 am to 11 pm. Nonetheless, the hotel staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and have all is needed. For information, toilet and washing facilities are not comprised in the rooms. Although it did not pose me any problem, this may bother some. "

"Great value for money. 3 rooms on 2nd floor and 1st floor is common area with toliet, shower, kitchen, refrigerator.
Traditional Japanese style room. Room is simple with matress, small ground table, A/C. Not much soundproof.
No elevator & need to use stiff stairs. Host seems living in 1st floor. Use key to open/close room.
Place is located on the side of small car road, not inside. Search '清舎' on google map."

We had an absolutely amazing time staying here. The park is deserted at night and in the early morning, so you have the temples and shrines to yourself (they are not open at these times, but they're still very impressive from the outside). The Nigatsudo shrine was especially great at night, as the lanterns were all lit and it's up a hill, so you can see the city...it's beautiful! Most of the temples to see in Nara are in the park, so you really are right in the middle of it. There are also deer...

Perfect location, as it's very close to the train station as well as the deer park. The room had everything you needed and a very comfortable bed. The communal ktchen area was excellent and again has everything you could possibly need and also a lovely eating area. Everything was perfect. The host was also very helpful and friendly.
Highly recommend staying here.

Great place to stay, very close to Kintetsu-Nara train station. Lots of places nearby to eat nearby. A short walk to the park.
Breakfast and coffee in the morning was very nice.
Our only negative point, our room (201) did smell of smoke quite strongly. We believe it was above the smoking room downstairs.
Overall a great stay and would recommend highly.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Hankyu RESPIRE, the first being only for a few nights on a multi-city "Golden Route" trip to Japan last year and the experience I had, combined with it's fantastic location meant it was the obvious choice for my week-long stay in Osaka this year.
The rooms are well equipped and roomy, especially for Japan, toiletries, room slippers and pyjamas are provided, meaning you can leave those things at home and have more space in your luggage for your Japan...

Looks like a new hotel and is very modern and elegant. The location is great and would highly recommend this hotel if looking to explore the Dotonburi. The hotel is comfortable and clean and the staff are excellent and attentive.

Loved the old, wooden main building - so beautiful. If you're thinking of staying here, be sure to book one of the traditional Japanese-style rooms located within it.
The dormitory-style accommodation is located in a separate building and I found it a little disappointing - too many beds fitted into a rather small space, where you can hear every sound made by people on either one of the floors. It was ok for one night stay, but anything longer than that might've been a challenge, particularly...
