Excellent place,in the middle of nowhere but easy access to town and coast. Simon the owner could not do enough for us. We took our pup and who was welcome everywhere.would definitely stay there again.

Parking on site. Very comfortable apartment. Excellent pub, The Ashcott Inn, 4 mins walk away, lovely meal with Thai influences.

I have stayed here a few times now and each time has been very good. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is spot on and the evening meals are delicious. I have to have a gluten free diet and the Farthings are extremely accommodating. The Farthings is my go to hotel when in Taunton area

Arrived quite late in the evening and had a lovely welcome by the owner. Lovely small pub with plenty of character. Clean and quiet rooms and the property is in a lovely quiet area. Perfect for exploring the outdoors. Highly recommended!

Great people lively accommodation very welcoming and excellent value for money food

This is the second time I have stayed there in last couple of mths, lovely suite we stayed in, lovely pub and good breakfast. Will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic overnight stay. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival by the owner who then took us to a great vantage point to take in the stunning views whilst giving us a brief bit of background history surrounding the building. We took our dog who was welcomed greatly. The staff on site were pleasant and polite and on hand to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was great. Can't wait to return later on in the year.

Graham and Annie (our hosts) were able to offer us any check time after 09.00. We actually arrived about 16.00 to be checked in immediately and shown to our room. The first night was a bit of a problem as the room overlooked the main road with a farm entrance across the road. The building is very old with thick stone walls and we needed the window open which was noisy with traffic throughout the night. A hidden gem just outside Ilchester. Lovely greeting from the owner and shown to our room in The Barn which was beautifully appointed. Had dinner and was very impressed with the quality of food , though the service was patchy . Breakfast in the morning was freshly prepared using local produce so we were well set up for the rest of the day

I can't fault this hotel room, so relaxing great set up, nice and clean and very warm when it was -4 outside. plenty of parking, next to town centre, easy to find.

Manageress went out of her way to make us welcome. Room was a fair size, clean with ample storage, small fridge and a good size ensuite with bath and separate shower. Only noise you can hear is the river flowing nearby and the birds at first light. Varied menu and expect good quality and service. Cosy and warm bar. Small hotel with ample parking close by. Highly recommended and will visit again.

This B&B/restaurant is fantastic and I can not fault it at all! The rooms are spacious, clean,warm and comfortable with plenty of free tea/coffee. Andy who initially greeted me was pleasant and helpful, as I left before breakfast was served the following day he arranged for a packed breakfast to be made for me! this has not happened for me before at other hotels.
