"Disappointing. We paid a little more than we usually pay for hotels because we wanted a two-night stay in a scenic area. The room choice specified GARDEN VIEW, but in fact was PARKING LOT VIEW. We asked reception about a garden view and were told “this is the room you booked.” Other than the fact we usually had our curtains closed so that we had some privacy, the room was fine. "

"It was excellent value and very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Layout of the building was somewhat strange and the decoration was from the '80's but it was clean and had all one needed."

"Only required the room for sleeping purposes as was out during the day and evenings. Ticked all the boxes in that requirement but several issues with the room that could have been improved. Stayed in same room for a second time and the issues hadn't been resolved from previous stay. Bathroom light was only partially working, bedside main light wasn't working. Had to stand next to telly to change channels. Bath had rust all around the rim. Toilet didn't flush too well. Most of this I'm sure is...

"The old house hotel was delightful. Good size dining room with lots of period features. The room was a good size, well appointed and freshly painted. The hall had new carpet. However the accommodation wing had hints of 1970s with roof tiled halls , diy tiled bathroom ( dangerously sharp edges), dated furniture and an uncomfortable bed with people shaped hollows. Excellent service and a fine dining experience was a highlight. "

"Only used the property for sleeping purposes as was out during the day and evening but it ticked all the boxes in that requirement. Expected to have a bath and fridge as brought food but that was probably due to the nature of the room I booked. It was a comfortable stay and staff were very friendly so no complaints. A bit pricy for the nature of the room so would look for a cheaper option next time but no complaints from me on this visit. "
