"Loved this location very close to everything especially the Lincoln Centre. Our room was so tiny that l couldn’t stand behind the sink to do my hair or makeup. That was very annoying. The room was clean but again small with not much clothes space. The furniture should go into the trash. The bed was comfortable. I really liked it he lobby-very posh and the jazz music playing was great."

"The staff was great, but the front desk attendants all seemed like they were being inconvenienced to a mild degree. I happened to have stayed down in the lobby bar area working for a few hours, while waiting for a room, and had interactions with everyone working. Oddly, they all seemed a bit annoyed or inconvenienced. Hard to explain, but their energy wasn’t inviting. Otherwise the rest of the staff was great. And while my stay was very good, the other review item I scored lower was maintenance. This is mostly the finishes in the room that require some refresh work. The wallpaper had visible lines, the bathroom needs better lighting and some TLC. The carpet and corners need to be redone (or replace with non carpeted flooring). The room was fine, but it’s showing its age. And I fully make that remark knowing NYC hotels are in old buildings that have different maintenance needs. All in all, a good stay. Close to Central Park and all the good shopping :)"

"I travelled solo for a 5 night stay. The hotel is right next to Penn Station and in a great location. The staff let me check in several hours early. The room was clean, good AC and I liked that the decor. It is an older building but upgrades have been made. I would stay here again."

"The room was nice the appearance was nice in the lobby and bar area as well. The bartender didnt show up for the 2 days we were there so we were unable to enjoy the bar. The staff when we arrived was very pleasant, I cant say the same for when we left. The gentleman who was running the front seemed to be irritated to assist us. The gentleman who works the front quoted me $85 to get to JFK by taxi, handed me a signed paper and told me to hand it to the front desk when we were to check out. We did that, however no taxi was reserved for us at the quoted time. They reached out to a sister hotel to assist. Now we are 20 minutes leaving later than expected, and now the price is $100 over the $85. No one kept their word on following through. So cleanliness, it was very nice."
