"The girl on reception when checking in was really helpful and easily the best staff member we encountered. After that, things were very average. The room looked tired an in need of some love as it had stains on the carpet and felt flat in colour. Breakfast was very poor service, with only 4 tables to serve the 2 staff struggled to offer any level of service. If you throw in how much they charge per room, this is definitely a hotel trading on location and historical levels of quality. Not worth the money and there’s better places nearby for less"

"Room 203 has damp on the wall and smells of damp. Outside the windows are the hotel air conditioning units so the room has constant noise. The walls are also very thin so you can easily hear other guests. The room is a good size though. The mattress needs to be replaced and a tv remote provide. The room was clean. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was very good. The view from the restaurant was stunning."

"Very modern room in a manor house conversion. Excellent facilities. Only negative is that it's certainly a bed-room. Not much space apart from the bed!"

"Bedrooms were lovely and most of the staff couldn’t do more to help you. The gym is very basic , and was disappointed the pool was cold and lots of tiles need fixing. Breakfast choice and quality was good"

"Beautiful old Manor House converted into a hotel. Very quiet location, plenty of parking facilities, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely restaurant overlooking the grounds, breakfast was beautifully cooked and served. I’d certainly use this hotel again."

"The breakfast was good. Plenty of selection but I don't think all of it was cooked fresh. The bacon was very hard and not easy to cut. The toast was not as one would expect toast to be, it seemed as if it was bread that was put in a pan with oil and served. But nothing was too much trouble for the staff."
