"Great historic hotel in a lovely neighborhood of diplomatic missions in South Kensington. Historic & atmospheric lobby, great on-site restaurant for a quick or a proper sitdown meal & a well-stocked bar. Rooms are renovated and, while not spacious, are well-appointed with marble baths, excellent bath products & extras. Staff are super helpful and allowed a complimentary early check-in for a pair of tired travelers at 11 am. Extra blankets were provided promptly, as requested. Highly recommend."

"I thought the staff was excellent. I was particularly impressed with Saish, the restaurant- manager in the evening. We ate most dinners at the hotel. Saish was helpful and knowledgeable about the city and the attractions and provided us with a unique insight into places to visit and how to best reach the different destinations over our five night stay. "Room was so tiny, my friend got stuck on a different floor and couldn’t get up to ours, I had to go to the front desk to be able to get her. Nice location, staff was ok."

"The hotel is stunning, the staff are attentive & professional. The bar was well stocked & reasonably priced. The room (executive room) was well equipped. Luxury robes & toiletries, spacious & air conditioning. But as with most large chain hotels obvious details in design are missed - huge mirrors and dressing tables supported by normal hairdryer - except there was no available plug socket anywhere near. Ditto the luxury espresso machine, great but tea drinkers using the kettle would be stumped with no socket again. And why is the only bin in the bathroom, nothing for tea/coffee debris etc Returning to hotel at 11pm to find bar closed was disappointing but we put it down to being a Sunday. Overall the stay was superb and we’d definitely use it again for city trips."
