Room is thoroughly modern and comfortable....although I am partial to rooms that have a comfortable chair for reading, etc. A sauna and spa are available to guests..very comfortable. "Stayed here while in Split. 15-20 min walk to old town which has cobblestone streets. Staff friendliness, professionalism, courtesy, 4 stars. Hotel itself 3 stars - room was nice size, safe in room, balcony nice with small table and 2 chairs. Good size closets. Breakfast included. Decent spread of cereals, breads, croissants, and hot foods. We had excursions early am 2 days, but they did pack us a decent amount of food and a juice to take with us. Garage parking available for a fee. Area...

Local bars and cafes offer good value if you prefer. We use Split as a hub; you can take day excursions to the islands and visiting the Roman remains at Salona is a fantastic experience. Communication with property is simple with quick response times."

"Had wonderful stay at the Malena Palace. Room was large, brand new, and spotless. Location is perfect, in the middle of everything. And the hostess Malena was so friendly and very helpful. We would stay again !! Just a tip, when you get to the door to the apartments (small sign that says Malena Palace), ring the doorbell and Malena will open the door and greet you and take you to your apartment. "
