"The property was in a very good location, less than a 10 min walk to the centre and to the castle (we had come to attend a music event) it was lovely to be so close. The only downside was there was no opening window, it was a sealed unit. The weather is no fault of the owners and though they had provided a fan the room was uncomfortably hot."

"Good location and a comfortable stay overall. The hotel is a little tired in places and there were lots of dogs around, but the bed was really comfy and we slept well. "Lovely hotel and facilities, the staff are very welcoming and accommodating without a snobby mindset. However, the parking charges were a bit of a surprise on arrival, although this can be got around by parking at the golf academy carpark (free) with a courtesy minibus ride back to the hotel itself. The rooms are perfectly fine, but a bit tired for a 5* hotel. We would be very happy to make a return visit anytime!"
