"Great location in South Beach, easily walkable to restaurants and activities. Our original concierge went above and beyond to help us transition - stored luggage until check-in and recommended spot for lunch. He also set up a sightseeing tour for us that we really enjoyed (except for the 30-minute late start). The original reception staff were also very friendly and helped us check in before the stated time. The reasons I rated 4 vs 5 stars: staff after the originals were inconsistent - sometimes they greeted us upon arrival, sometimes they avoided eye contact; the pool area was understaffed and service took a long time; loud false alarm went off early morning on check-out day which made for a longer travel day. Overall, a good hotel worth a stay in South Beach."

"Everything was beautiful and fine"

" I realize the hotel is old, however this room did not meet the expectations of an $280+ room. My issue is with how the room had one window open and blocked with cardboard and tape to accommodate the temporary air conditioning as the main air conditioner was broken. Every time the wind would blow the cardboard would be forced into the room leaving us exposed to the elements and noise coming in from the outside. "

"I did not have an ocean view though my studio room was roomy. The refrigerator lighting remains bright all night long which detracted from sleeping. The pool area was lovely. Never too crowded. Staff was helpful and accommodating. "

"Could not see ocean. We could see Beach path and all the scaffolding going up for an event. "

"Loved the food, cocktails, staff and vibes. Beautiful ocean bay view. Room slightly dated (paint, chips in furniture) not an issue for me. Will be back again for sure. Spa was amazing and treated to so many glasses of champagne complimentary!!! Thank you Mondrian and Baia Beach Club. "

"We’ve stayed at the Fairwind Hotel almost once every year. I love the dancers that come in the evenings at the bar. Additionally, you get beach towels with your stay and everything nearby is within walkable distance. "
