It was the first visit to Canterbury for my friend and myself . The Cathedral Lodge was so lovely. The staff were super helpful, the hotel was spotless, the breakfast was excellent. It was quite novel to be let i and out of the main gate by police but at least you felt secure. We also went on a punt trip up the river Stour. We stayed for 3 days sunday to wednesday,and were cery pleased with the hotel. The room(24) was the Superuor suite and was lovely and spacious,very clean and had amazing views of the harbour. Tea coffee and biscuits were topped up daily. There was a choice of breakfasts hot or cold, we opted for full english! The car park is great as it is right next to the hotel, and very safe. Very traditional inn experience! Beautiful town with everything within walking distance. Staff are warm, chatty and more than happy to fufill requests if able. Breakfast was served between 7:30 and 10 giving plenty of time to laze if needed. Breakfast is cooked to order not a buffet style. Overall a fantastic experiance.

We have stayed at this Hotel many times over the years while under different owners. It holds happy memories for us and is a must return hotel visiting Arundel. The very new owners are absolutely charming and made sure our stay was perfect. They run the whole hotel and restaurant all by themselves and so from what we could see we are sure their hard work will return success for them. The Hotel itself is on top of a restaurant run by the new owners which we didn’t dine in as Wed to Sat opening....

Reception staff very helpful, if you get rooms with balcony Excellent views. The spa gives great massages

We really enjoyed our stay with a newborn child. Bet and Poppy were very courteous, Zoe in reception was also amazing. We felt extremely welcomed so thank you. The breakfast was just sublime. Just a few bits of other feedback. The ventilation in the bathroom is quite poor, the bed mattress was also uneven making sleeping uncomfortable. Overall, we will come back again and stay.

Amazing hotel and spa and have been a number of times. Stayed for two nights and had an amazing spa day with two treatments. Decided to upgrade to a superior garden twin room which was adequate but if I was being extra picky there are a couple of observations that would have improved the room itself. There was no safe or full length mirror and the wardrobe and draw space were tiny also there was nowhere to sit in front of a mirror to apply makeup and dry our hair. Nice size property. Missing the more luxury/comfort items. Garden furniture ok not as images. Has a comfy dining table. Balcony furniture present but not suitable for the area. High stools and table not appropriate needs more relaxing items to make area useful otherwise it was good for drying clothes. Area is central and easy for amenities, cafes, beach, shops etc all easy to walk to. Noisy as near heliport and some days this is busy from early morning till after 10 at night. Not overly...

Lovely apartment - right in the city centre, but not noisy at all. Huge shower. Fully equipped kitchen - everything you could need. Would definitely stay here again - and hosts are very communicative and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great stay again !! Apart from bar lady didn’t want to be there ! Very slow and couldn’t be bothered to serve me apart from that great again with a free upgrade
