Since the Singapore Flyer opened in 2008, the world's largest Ferris wheel has become an unmissable landmark as you drive along the Benjamin Sheares Bridge. The 165-metre-high flyer carries passengers high above the city, offering stunning views and a complete rotation takes 30 minutes. Enjoy the sight of iconic and historical landmarks from up high and views from the Marina Bay to the Singapore River, Raffles Place, Merlion Park, Empress Place and the Padang. On a clear day, you can see three countries from the top – Singapore, Malaysia and the Indonesian island of Batam.
The flyer is built over a three-storey terminal building which houses shops, bars and restaurants that are always busy. The 28 spacious capsules can accommodate 28 people each so large groups and families can travel together, and are air-conditioned year-round, giving a comfortable ride. For a special treat – plenty of marriage proposals have occurred here! - you can enjoy dining in the sky complete with a four course meal and full butler experience. You can also sip on Singapore's most famous cocktail, the Singapore Sling during the special Singapore Sling Flight, or enjoy a sophisticated High Tea Flight. You can even get married too in one of the capsules – see the website for details.
The Singapore Flyer is located on reclaimed land near Marina Bay. For visitors coming to the wheel by car, there is a multi-storey car park on site. For visitors who are coming by public transport, they should use the MRT and alight at the Promenade Station on the Circle Line. The Singapore Flyer opens between 8.30 am and 10.30 pm daily. Tickets can be bought on line beforehand or purchased when you arrive.
