Grand bazaar, Blue mosque, Topkapi palace and Hagia Sophia are at walking distance This hotel is not a luxury hotel, rooms are small and facility is congested because it is in the middle of old city Only thing which bothered us most was very bad wifi connection in the room, we could not use internet inside the room for a single time in three day stay"

"The hotel is new and close to sultanahmet square and key historical sites in old instambul ( European side). Staff is wonderful and was always very polite and available to help. We stayed at the White House villa which is owned by the hotel and 10 min away by foot. They can provide transportation if needed. Villa is beautifully decorated and brand new as welll. Location of villa is not that close to hotel so important to coordinate by phone if you need any services done there. Great place for a group of 8 or 10 as they have 4 large bedrooms, can put roll over beds and there are many places in the house for get togethers including a second floor living room, a kitchen area and a typically decorated living room that looks into a private patio. Very good if you have kids who need space to hang out during the day while not touring. "

"The Carina Gold Hotel is FABULOUS!!! First, the staff is warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. Second, the hotel is clean and comfortable. The air conditioning works well and the breakfast is worth the earlier wake up. Finally, the location can’t be beat. There hotel us between two tram stops, one right around the corner. A short walk to Aya Sophia and a convenient walk to the Grand Bazaar (the tram stops will lead you to the Spice Market, Karakoy, or the docks to Asia in less than 15 minutes). I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy their trip to Istanbul."

Highly Recommend!

"Highly recommend the Sultanhan Hotel! We were totally unfamiliar with Istanbul, so we took a chance on this booking and it worked out wonderfully. The location is as stated, walking distance to major destinations, including the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, but the hotel itself is on a pretty quiet street and we felt safe in the area. Decent sized room, very clean, great breakfast in the top floor restaurant with amazing views--seriously, no complaints. The staff was very helpful with everything including how to use the excellent (and very close) public transportation, recommendations on things to do, and getting us back to the airport efficiently and relatively cheaply. Istanbul itself was amazing! The public transportation is cheap, easy to use and dependable. The sights are beautiful; I especially enjoyed our Bosphorus Cruise. Would go back in a heartbeat!"

"The location was perfect if you want to be 5 minutes away from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern and Toptaki Palace. It was about 15 minutes away from the Grand Bazaar too. The room was immaculate and a great size. We loved that it embodied traditional Turkish elements. We highly recommend this hotel if you want to be central."
