Overall an excellent stay with enough space for two adults and two reenagers.
We arrived not knowing how we would check in as numerous messages had gone unaddressed. It transpired that there was a tablet mounted on the wall where we put our booking reference. We then scanned our passports and filled out the forms and thence got the code for the door to our accomodation.
The place was nice and clean with good facilities and good air-con in both bedrooms.
The location was great and very close...

This is my third time staying Tokyo Grand Hotel, and I absolutely love it. The helpfulness of the staff and the affordable price for the area are truly astonishing. This hotel is a 5* experience, all thanks to the staff that work here, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the location.

Great location at Daiba, monorail station between the Tokyo Daiba and Hilton hotels, area around the hotels provides nice walks along the waterfront and plenty of retail therapy if you need it. The customer service at this hotel was impeccable. It was in a great location in a quiet neighbourhood, which suited us. It was a two minute walk from Gaiemmae metro station which is on the very handy Ginza line. The staff went above and beyond to help us with our questions and phoned onward hotels for us when we had questions. The room was clean and had excellent amenities. Thoroughly recommend!

Perfect location and great staff. Our room was on 38th floor so we had fantastic views and the noise below wasnt an issue. The one gripe we had was the lack of clothing storage. Just one small rail with 4 or 5 hangers and nowhere to put our suitcases. We would still definitely recommend Hotel Groove Shinjuku to anyone in spite of this.

Would stay again. The staff were so helpful and nice. Great coffee from the machine and nice to have it on the terrace in the morning. Useful toiletries to pick up at the desk. Comfortable bed. Fridge kettle etc everything you need for a city break.

Reception staff are very professional and speak English well. Rooms are very clean with high standard amenities.
JR bus service provides direct return transport at 1500 Yen/Adult single trip to the station which directly connects to the hotel. Minimum efforts for travellers.
Abundant choice of restaurants and Daimaru department at the station are very handy.

About Shiba
Shiba is a centrally located district in Tokyo’s Minato Ward. For visiting tourists it provides convenience with location and excellent public transport connections. It is also quite affluent and home to the headquarters of important Japanese companies and one of the Japanese capital city’s best known temples.
Don’t MissOne of the most famous images of Shiba is the sight of Zojo-ji Temple with the bright red, 333-meter-high Tokyo Tower standing behind it. Zojo-ji was badly damaged in WWII, although the original Sangedatsumon Gate and the graves of Tokugawa shoguns makes it one of the most popular sightseeing locations.
Zojo-ji Temple is set in the grounds of Shiba Park. The park is a relaxing spot to take a walk or sit on a bench and enjoy the sights of flowering plants and trees. Minato Ward Museum houses an interesting collection of ancient documents and tools, animal bones, and art. Take Ninagawa Art Gallery holds regular exhibitions featuring the works of top contemporary Japanese and international artists.
The headquarters of Korean Air and NCE Electronics are located in Shiba. The self-contained Roppongi Hills city district is less than two kilometres from Shiba and boasts the Mori Art Museum. It also has a lovely collection of upmarket shopping outlets. Shiba has three Metro stations. The Hamamatsucho, Tamachi, and Mita stations are stops for Yamanote and Toei-Mita line services.
Restaurants and BarsA number of restaurants in Shiba serve up tasty Japanese dishes with noodles, tofu, and rice bases. There are also premises themed on the famous sushi and sashimi specialities. International restaurants have the likes of burgers, pasta, and steaks on the menu. Bar Qrif is one of several pubs in the area. Roppongi has a better choice and these include the Hobgoblin British Pub and sports bars.
ShoppingShiba is not famous for its shopping. Ginza and Roppongi have more choices and do not take long to get to on the Metro or bus. Odaiba Island is easy enough to reach as well and has three malls plus a seaside shopping arcade. Shops in Shiba itself are mostly small and limited to 7-11 convenience stores.
