I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ocean West, it is absolutely STUNNING. The hotel staff were extremely attentive and we were made to feel right at home from our arrival to the end of our stay. I particularly liked the taxi service that dropped and picked you up from your destination and at a cheaper rate than the local taxi service. Breakfast, though not always prompt, was worth the wait! We wanted a quiet hotel on New Providence Island, away from the madness of Nassau and Paradise Island, and The Island House was perfect. Situated near the Old Fort Bay it is about a 30 minute drive from downtown. The hotel itself is quite new so everything was clean and tidy. Homestay vibes🌴🇧🇸An authentic Bahamian Guesthouse experience! Warm, friendly, attentive staff! Traditional Bahamian breakfast available for purchase. I enjoyed trying out the local food. Tea/coffee and toast are complimentary. My room was cleaned and every care was taken to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Local supermarkets, churches and bars within walking distance. 20 min walk to Junkanoo beach, Nassau harbour/beach/shops.
