"Wonderful!"

"The breakfast was fresh. In particular, brown breads are provided, which is rarely seen in Japan. However, the food is provided in smal amount so that can become unavailable often. Also, orange is the only fruit provided. The room has a good size and everyting is well laid out. Coin operated laundry machines are available. There is a large supermarket across the streen from the hotel, which is very convenient to buy food from. Overall it is a decent and pleasant hotel to stay."

"To be honest, our first room was quite terrible. It was old and dirty. The floors looked so gross I didn’t even want to put my bare feet on them. So why the good ratings? Well, after contacting Expedia to see about cancelling my reservation so I could move to a completely different hotel, the on duty manager offered to move me to another room. That room was significantly better - it was on a floor that had been renovated just a few years ago. I don’t know if they reserve this floor for higher priced reservations, but I was told it was an “equivalent room”. But it was so much better, I couldn’t be happier. So my tip would be, if you’re assigned the 15th floor, ask for something different… 16th floor if you can get it."

"The staff were GREAT! The rooms were excellent…the beds are sooooo comfortable. Great views. Rooms were made up every day, fresh linens and towels, etc. Location was great. Overall great experience! Will return. "

"The room was clean and comfortable. One thing I found a bit unusual was that there was no hand soap in the toilet area near the small basin. I noticed the same in another hotel, so I’m not sure if this is common in Japan or specific to this hotel. The breakfast area was spacious with plenty of seating. I arrived around 9:00–9:15 am and didn’t have to wait to be seated, which was great. There was a good selection of both Western and Japanese breakfast options. However, as some other guests have mentioned, certain hot items such as steak and vegetables were not very warm. The display showed 50°C, but the food itself felt cooler than expected. I’m not sure if this is a hotel policy or something that was overlooked. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They even arranged to ship my luggage to my next hotel in Tokyo, which made my trip much easier. The location of the hotel is also excellent."

"Really beautifully designed and very clean room . I like that I had a proper table I can sit at while on my computer . Two chairs , a fridge with a freezer , a kitchen designated are and plates, cups and cutlery . I also had my own microwave and washing machine . It’s on a beautiful and quiet street. Free foot bath by reception, free coffee , cappuccinos ( including caffeine free) , complimentary sparkling water and sake in the lobby, lots of free cosmetics ( my suggestion would be to give separate toothpaste and toothbrushes, as it seems that too many toothbrushes are wasted ) 😊, all organic. I would also have liked a TV remote control that would allow caption in English, so I can understand the Japanese news .Maybe they can implement that in time. Pijamas should only be given upon request, in my opinion, as it seems a waste to have them provided to people that don’t use them. Check in and out were fast and efficient and everyone was very respectful and polite. Also, is just across from one of the Karasuma metro station and 3 station away from Osaka Stn. The hotel does luggage forwarding and had a nice book with attraction in the lobby. It would be nice if they would have a “ hotel information and area attractions”, that can be browsed while in the room . Thank you for the hospitality , it was very nice to visit with you ! "

"A very good hotel, ideally located in central Kyoto, just steps from the river, Nishiki Market, and a covered shopping street. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed and pillows are firm, but I personally slept very well. My only critic is the laundry room, which is much too small for the size of the hotel. I had difficulty accessing a dryer before hours and had to hang my clothes in the room without having access to a drying racks."

"Staff are helpful. Excellent service from housekeeping. Luggage delivery is very convenient. the concierge has an alternate to the luggage they advertise which delivers late. the alternate was faster; Nice hotel"
