The Lighthouse is excellent for a one-night stay-over before or after a Keflavik flight. It is about 14 minutes by car to the airport. It is in a very quiet area at the end of the Gardur peninsula. If the hotel restaurant is fully booked, as it was when we stayed, there is another within walking distance (wild and windy weather notwithstanding) - the Rostin. Can't recommend these guys enough. Great booking and communication, welcoming on arrival and helpful for any of the trips we'd booked (calling companies to when we needed help!) and the apartment itself was spotless and they had thought of everything (decent hair dryer, proper shampoo and body wash and ironing board and iron). Beautifully decorated apartment with great facilities and brilliant location

A very ordinary building from the outside but hiding the extraordinary that lies within. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped and the general areas are really striking but also comfortable. The lounge area was very pleasing as it had a great mix of people that were staying at the hotel along with a lot of locals who were choosing it as a great meeting place for drinks. Lovely hotel made even better with the beautiful staff. Agnes (the housekeeping manager) went out of her way to resolve some issues we had with pre-booked tour companies.
